Olga Tatarynova

I like to be creative even I am not a professional artist nor designer.  I have discovered for myself such forms of crafts as cross stitching and knitting, it gives me a unique opportunity to combine both my sides such as analytical way of thinking and my creative side. My biggest passion is  Cross stitch female portraits, my collection of cross stitch female portraits  consists of about 30-40 items.

Being a member of Kharkiv Embroidery clubs Tamyla and Success (Kharkiv, Ukraine), I  was an active participant of many embroidery exhibitions held in the City art galleries. In 2007 my cross stitched works were exhibited  within Kharkiv Embroidery club Tamyla exhibition "The Gods are inside Us" at the 9th Bosporus International Festival of Ancient Arts in Kerch (Ukraine).

Having moved to Melbourne, Australia, I decided to do more of knitting as I have found a lot of possibilities in regards to various types of yarn. I love yarn - diverse types and colors, merino and blends, mohair with silk and cashmere, baby alpaca and possum. I collect and test all those beautiful yarns I can find in Australia and overseas. Definitely, self striped sock yarn is my favorite! In my collection one can find numerous garments for adults and kids such as socks, mittens, scarves, beanies and shawls.

In Melbourne with its cold winters my socks and shawls are those Must have things. They are warm, comfortable, strong durable with bright and happy colors.
Customers love my socks, they are becoming very popular not just in Victoria but throughout all Australia.

It is such a great feeling to know that my socks not only keep their feet warm, but also bring smile and happiness to their owners.

I am an active member of FB groups such as Australian handspinners and knitters as well as of international groups of Sock knitting lovers,  actively involved with many local yarn manufacturers, spinners and hand yarn dyers. I try not to miss any single yarn show, I like to meet people in person to match FB profiles and faces, to get the recent news from the Yarn world and to get inspired for new knitted stuff.
